My Story

A former Physician Executive who has interviewed, hired and mentored physicians from Associate Director through Vice President. Practical guidance for every stage of the transition.

Physician Advisory for the Pharmaceutical Industry

Why Work With Me

Transitioning from clinical medicine to the pharmaceutical industry is more than finding the right job. It requires understanding a different culture, developing a different approach to leadership, and understanding how success is defined in an entirely new environment.

Having made that journey myself, I understand both the opportunities and the challenges. After nearly 2 decades in clinical practice, I entered the pharmaceutical industry in an entry-level physician role and progressed through increasing leadership responsibilities to ultimately lead multiple large scale clinical development programs in Vaccine R&D at Pfizer.  Along the way, I interviewed physician candidates from Associate Director through Vice President and mentored physicians as they successfully transitioned into pharma and built their careers.

My goal is simple: to help physicians navigate the transition with confidence, avoid common pitfalls and build rewarding, long-term careers in the pharmaceutical industry.

Testimonials

“I had the pleasure of working with Erik during my time on the team at Pfizer, and I can confidently say that he was an outstanding manager and mentor. He combined a deep knowledge of his field with a genuinely approachable and supportive leadership style, making him someone colleagues felt comfortable turning to for guidance and advice.

One of his greatest strengths was his ability to integrate new team members quickly and effectively. He invested time in helping people settle into their roles, ensuring they felt welcomed, valued, and part of the team from the outset. His inclusive approach fostered a strong sense of collaboration and engagement across the group.

He was also highly proactive in supporting the development of junior colleagues. He consistently made himself available to provide constructive feedback, share his expertise, and offer career guidance. This level of mentorship can sometimes be difficult to find, and his willingness to invest in others had a lasting positive impact on many members of the team.”

Pharmaceutical Physician

“Before speaking with Erik, I was actively exploring a transition from clinical medicine to Pharma but had no industry experience or understanding of the physician career paths available. Erik took the time to explain the landscape, help me recognize how my clinical skills translated to Clinical Development, and connect me with key contacts. His guidance was instrumental in helping me navigate both the hiring process and the steep learning curve of a new industry, ultimately leading to a successful transition into Pharma.

I later had the opportunity to work on Erik's team, where I saw firsthand the same thoughtful leadership and commitment to developing others that he demonstrated as a mentor. Four years into my industry career, I remain grateful for his guidance. I highly recommend Erik to any physician considering a career in Pharma and believe his mentorship can support long-term success.”
