Erik Lamberth is a clinician and vaccinologist with 30 years experience in clinical research. As a practicing pediatrician and site investigator at Pennridge Pediatrics for for 18+ years, he was a site investigator for dozens of vaccine trials including TdaP (Tetanus, Diptheria & pertussis for adult & pediatric participants), Menactra (Meningococcal vaccine), Flumist (intranasal flu vaccine), the Lymerix (Lyme vaccine) booster trial, Pentacel (DTaP, IPV, Hib), Pediarix (DTaP, IPV, Hep B), Gardasil (Cervical cancer), Gardasil 9, Prevnar (Pneumococcal infections), Prevnar 13, Rotavirus, and MMRV (Measles, Mumps, Rubella & Varicella)where he talked through these vaccines with the families of patients in a community setting.
As an IRB Chair at Grand View Hospital for 16 years overseeing 35+ concurrent studies in vaccines, oncology and cardiology, he reviewed and evaluated the protocols with an ethical lens. As a Pfizer Sr. Director, he led multiple vaccine programs from Pre-IND through Phase 3 with experience as a Clinician for pediatric and adult clinical trials spanning the Pneumococcal, Covid-19, C. difficile, RSV, Lyme and Meningococcal programs.
Dr Lamberth has held fornmal faculty appointments at Temple University School of Medicine and Haverford College, and is currently as an Associate Scholar at the Center for Clinical Epidemiology and Biostatistics at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine and a mentor for the Johns Hopkins Technology Ventures program.
He holds a BS in Biology from Haverford College, an MD from Temple University School of Medicine and completed his residency in Pediatrics at St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children in Philadelphia, PA. He has been a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics since 2000.
